July 11 The craft studio on 3 rd Avenue

3 rd Avenue and 94 th street . The children will choose an unpainted item of pottery to decorate. Ages 3 and up

July 18 The Marionette theater in central park

The ‘Swedish Cottage' west 79 th street. A marionette theater showing the Fairy Tale Forest Gymberry puppet show. Ages 2.5 and up

August 8 The children's museum of Manhattan-Dora the Explorer tour with art project and dance class.

August 22 Central Park Zoo

September 5 Central Park Carousel

January: Developmental reports due for children 3 yrs and older. Closed Monday 17th for MLK Day

Building Blocks Playgroup Daily Schedule 2007-08

Our daily and weekly schedule is typical of a high quality pre-school program with the added advantage of small groups and a low student/teacher ratio.

Children are split into age groups for special activities and projects which are adapted to the range of developmental abilities of children between the ages of 18months and 5 years.

8:00 – 8:45 Early drop off / Breakfast / freeplay

8:45 – 9:30 Freeplay / Project

9:30 – 9:45 Circle / Songs (show and tell Wednesdays)

9:45 – 10:00 Snack

10:00 – 10:20 Floor activity / Bathrooms / Get ready to go outside

10:20 – 11:15 Outside / park / Movement

11:15 – 12:10 Special activity / Concepts meeting (see below)

12:10 – 12:45 Lunch / Bathrooms

12:45 – 1:00 Story

1:00 - Half day children leave
