When Your Baby Confuses Day and Night
Confusing day and night is often associated with colic. Unfortunately, as Dad is usually gone all day, Mom must bear the brunt of the crying and fussing, and she must catch up on lost sleep whenever baby naps. If both parents work,
trading off alternate nights helps. Try to keep the baby awake during the early evening to encourage nighttime sleep. Keep the baby slightly cool and upright in an infant seat or carrier. Do whatever you can to stimulate your child and keep him or her awake.
Adding a little instant cereal to the last evening bottle for a more substantial meal, while not scientifically substantiated, has definitely worked for me.
