What Causes Bedwetting?

As embarrassing as it is, we are all born wetting the bed. Learning to hold it in is a natural part of growing up.
Just like eye color or height, children can inherit bedwetting from their relatives.
Kids who wet the bed are often such deep sleepers, their full bladders can’t even wake them up. Sometimes dreams about peeing are so realistic, they can make a real-life tinkle, researchers say.
Doctors recommend peeing right before bedtime and setting alarms during the night to keep emptying out the bladder.
