On The Importance Of Fathers On Father’s Day

Very little attention seems to be paid to the father’s role in bringing up children. A little attention is given sometime around Father’s Day, but the fact remains that the role of a man has been minimized by the mass media and popular culture. A father is far more often depicted as a bumbling oaf or a threatening figure than as he truly exists

here in the real world. The effect of all this anti-father propaganda of course is that father is looked upon with disdain, and fathers are fighting a constant uphill battle for respect in the face of all the stresses and challenges of daily family life.
I say its time we stood up for our men, and stand up to the ridiculous world view the media foists upon us. I see the importance of my husband in my son’s life every time he comes home and my boy’s face absolutely lights up with the joy of having daddy home. I see the importance of my husband in my life every time the stress of our lives begins to get me down,

and he listens patiently to me and gives me a shoulder to lean on. I see the importance of my husband in our lives as my new baby grows inside me and I’m confident that no matter what, my husband will do whatever it takes to keep me and our children safe and secure.
A father is neither disposable nor easily replaceable. This Father’s Day, take some time to reflect on the importance of that irreplaceable man in your and your children’s lives. Even if you’re divorced or seperated from your kid’s dad, don’t forget the importance he has in their lives, everybody needs a dad.
