VANDALS caused chaos for children after they smashed a large plate-glass window at a nursery over the weekend.
Staff at Broadway’s Family Tree Nursery in Bracknell town centre arrived for work at 7.30pm on Monday morning to find broken glass littering the baby and toddler room.
Workers mounted a frantic clean-up operation before the children, aged three months to five years, started arriving at 8am.
Assistant manager Sarah Giannotta said: “We are really upset someone would do this to a nursery.
“We had to move all the babies and toddlers to different rooms like our soft play area because there was no way they could stay in there - it was too dangerous.”
The window, which was decorated with a large transfer, remained boarded up as The News went to press and it was unknown when it could be replaced.
Police believe it was smashed on Friday night.
