Kid Created Stains

Something our moms failed to tell us about- probably because we didn’t care then- were the joys (?) and frustrations of continual laundry.
Suddenly we need to become experts in stain removalas well as keeping mounds of clothesin motionas they go from clean to dirty and back to clean again.

Over the years, other people have recommended the following items for stain removal. I cannot vouch for all of them, and heir effectiveness will depend on the nature and age of the stain, as well as what’s been stained.
Consider the following as options you may wish to try. Doubtless one or more will work for you.

Ballpoint pen/ink:Hairspray, toothpaste and tooth brush, vinegar on painted surfaces.

Blood stains:Hydrogen peroxide, a paste of meat tenderizer, shampoo rubbed in rinsed with cold water.

Grass stains:Alcohol, shampoo, Tilex bathroom cleaner, prewash soak then wash with bleach, toothpaste and tooth brush.

Grease:Baby powder, then brush it off- Baking soda, club soda, oven cleaner
