Horrible Side Effects Of Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash

From The Consumerist

Reader Monique says that she used Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash and woke up with brown spots on her teeth and no sense of taste. How terrifying!

Manhattan Daycare

Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash turned my teeth brown! And on top of that, I can’t taste anything! I can’t believe this stuff is even on the market. My wisdom teeth are coming in painfully, and I am prepping to get them removed next week. So while at Rite Aid last night, I picked up a bottle of Crest Pro-Health mouthwash. I typically use Listerine, but as I said my wisdom teeth are killing me and this Crest CRAP advertises “No Alcohol”. Cool.
Except that after using it for ONE day (in the am and then before bed) I woke up today with brown spots on and in between my teeth and I cannot taste anything at all. After being scared almost to the point of tears, I started googling these symptoms. You wouldn’t believe how many website there are that are dedicated to this nonsense. Crest should be sued for this!

More people need to be informed about this. On top of that, if you read the comments on the site I am linking, Crest wont even reimburse you for the lousy 4 dollars you spend on this poison. Never mind the expensive dental bills I am going to face whitening and repairing my teeth. Spread the word Consumerist.

Yikes! We took a look around the internet and found a lot of people complaining about this issue.

Here are some highlights from Amazon.com:

Manhattan Daycare

David Case from Flint, MI says:

At the beginning mouthwash was fine. Nice not having the alcohol burn and the breath, that my girlfriend hated. So that was nice.

But after extended use for a month it stained in between my teeth brown. It looked terrible and it cost me a one hundred dollar trip to the dentist to scrape that junk off. The dentist advised that it was my mouthwash after hearing it was this Crest mouthwash that I was using. I was surprised that a mouthwash that is suppose to help clean your teeth actually does the opposite.

Another guy says:

This garbage put dingy yellow and brown stains on my teeth, especially near the gums. A dental cleaning failed to get them off. If I had known this mouthwash could cause stains, I would never have used it in the first place. If my next dental cleaning fails to remove the yellow on my teeth, P&G may have a lawsuit on their hands. It’s to the point where I don’t want to even talk or smile. These Pro Health products should be illegal.

E.Leyden from NY, NY says:

The first thing I noticed was a buildup of white gunk on my tongue. I had just brushed my tongue until it was a nice pink before using the mouthwash, which annoyed me. But it wasn’t just gunk — this stuff was solid. It was annoying, but I could live with gunk. I can’t live with what else it did, though.

Let me put this as simply as possible: This mouthwash destroys your sense of taste. Not just immediately after you spit it out, (it ruins it then too, since water tasted strange when I had a drink before bed) but the next morning as well. I COVERED my eggs in ketchup, yet the normally puckering taste of a mouthful of ketchup was missing. I ate kiwis, pineapple, apple, tea, and nothing. It was like a mouthful of sawdust, or water, or watery sawdust.

About 12 hours after the rinsing, I finally started to regain some taste. I looked up the “active” ingredient in Crest Pro-Health online, called cetylpyridinium chloride. This is what the Materials Safety and Data Sheet has to say about this ingredient: “Toxic if swallowed. Very toxic by inhalation. May cause severe eye irritation. Respiratory and skin irritant,” with a large TOXIC warning at the top of the page. I’m sure the concentration in this product is low enough to be harmless in a single dose, but imagine years of using this? Hopefully this won’t be on the market long enough for that to be possible.

Joseph Adams says:

This is easily the most disturbing thing I’ve ever had happen to me. I’ve never had side-effects like this from ANY over the counter medicine, much less an oral product. My bottom teeth now have visible brown spots between them and I’m worried that they won’t come off (or that it’ll cost me a lot of money to remove them). I don’t think I’ve ever felt so screwed over like this before… this is simply inexcusable. Crest should not be allowed to have a product like this on the market without a huge sticker warning you about its side-effects.

Manhattan Daycare

Sadly I don’t think people will see this, and they too will get brown garbage in between their teeth. No one googles or looks up mouth wash on Amazon, though I sure wish I did now…

Has this happened to you?

I have been using Crest Pro Health Toothpaste for about 3 weeks now and the inside of my cheeks have a rough texture kind of like a cats tongue. There also seems to be slight chemical burns or patches all over the inside of my mouth, with slight red lines surrounding the patches. I called Crest today, June 10th, 2008 and they told me they have had “some complaints” about this, and that it was the product doing it’s job.

Are they kidding me? Why would I, or anyone else, want open sores from Crest Pro Health, EATING AWAY the lining of their mouth?

I am now too nervous to kiss anyone, because as everyone knows, you can catch many things with open cuts or openings in your mouth.

If anyone can direct me to a good lawyer I would be greatfull.

I am VERY UPSET about this. I always maintain good oral hygene, and I do not want to worry that my mouth tissue is being eaten away by Crest Pro Health, which could risk the integerity of the lining of my mouth.

I also have been experiencing the exact same symptoms as Jim who posted on June 9 2008. I have been so worried about it too. I am extremely angry that Crest doesn’t have warnings about this on their product. I freaking thought I had cancer or some funky STD. I have been googling this for over 2 months trying to figure out what it could be. Well at least now I know. Not only am I going to dump all their lousy product down the drain. I am going to make up business cards with this info about their product and pass them out to everyone I see so no one else has to feel as scared as I did when these symptoms occured. Crest should recall this product ASAP. I am going to call them too and tell them how I feel. This is NOT RIGHT that they can scare people this way and not even let them know that it is a possible side effect of the product. Thank you all so much for taking the time to post your experiences on here. Without you guys I would still be sitting here scared right now over the burns and bumps inside my mouth. thank you thank you thank you!!

I used this Crest Mouthwash for a while now and it messed up the inside of my mouth. I experienced this immense burn inside of my mouth. Wheneve I would eat hot things, my mouth would start to burn. It had gotten so bad that I had to change my diet. Fortunately for me, I realized that this Mouthwash had been the culprit of this all. It has been about a week later and thank God the insides of my mouth no longer burn anymore. The lining of my mouth still has this awkward taste though, I think it is still healing. I’m glad I got rid of that Crest junk, they should take this stuff off the market. It ridiculous. Thank you all for posting your problems because it lets us all know that we are not contracting these problems out of nowhere; it the stupid product.

My experience with Crest Pro-Health has been awful as well. Two weeks before Christmas, I visited a new dentist near my job for a cleaning and the dental hygienist instructed me to start using Crest Pro-Health toothpaste and mouthwash. Prior to leaving the dentist office, she also had me rinse with it. As I was walking back to work, I noticed that my gums had started to ache (a dull ache), something that has never happened before after any routine dental cleaning. The dull ache disappeared after a few ours. I thought this was strange but decided not to give it any other thought.

A day later, I went out and bought Crest Pro-Health toothpaste/mouthwash and began using it as instructed. Between that time and the beginning of this week, my gums and teeth had become so sensitive that it hurt to drink any beverage, even water! My teeth would hurt slight while eating. One tooth on the bottom row has also become slightly discolored. It was only that I went back to my original dentist this past Tuesday near my home to get a crown put in that I made the connection. That night, I did my routine with the products and noticed that the tooth with the crown did not hurt like all the other teeth afterward. The next day, I went back to my regular toothpaste. I noticed that drinking and eating wasn’t nearly as painful as it had been for the past month. I have kept my regular routine up and the pain is beginning to fade. Hopefully, no permanent damage has been done to my gums and teeth. I go back to my neighborhood dentist at the end of this month and will let him know about my experience with this crap that needs to be called Crest Anti-Health!

I’ve used Crest Pro Health mouth wash for about a year now, 2 to 3 times a day sometimes. I have Invisaglin braces so when I can’t brush my teeth after eating I use Crest Pro Health mouth wash. For sometime now I’ve been having a constant burning sensation in my throat, I am not sure if this is related to Crest Pro Health, but if I stop using for a few days the burning sensation starts to get better. Anyone else have similar symptoms? I’d like to see how the FDA rates this product.

  6. Comment by Luis on March 23, 2009 2:39 pm

I also used Crest Pro Health Night and had scary/annoying results. I woke up with no sensation on my tongue. It felt like I had burned my tongue with scolding coffee or something. The next day I started getting open sores all along the top of my gums which were very painful. Made it hard to talk, smile and especially eat! Eating something hot was out of the question because it hurt too much, plus I couldn’t taste it either so what was the point?!

I’m very upset that a product like this is out on the market, especially with as many complaints that I’ve researched the last few weeks. This is unacceptable, and very uncomfortable for anyone to have to deal with. I will NEVER use Crest products again, because I feel like even though they know what this product is doing, they have no intention of taking it off the market. They are much more interested in making more millions than actually taking care of the customers that they’re trying to market to. Crest obviously has no care or concern for us so I refust to invest in their products…

  7. Comment by Brenda on March 29, 2009 3:22 am

The most disturbing symptom I had was the loss of taste. It took me about 5 days to figure out what was going on. Everything tasted bland. I could not taste salt no matter how much I used. I will never use this stuff again. I am pouring it down the drain. Why would my dental office recommend I use this product?

can anybody share how long it took for these chemical burns to go away in their mouth. I have quit using crest pro health products (paste & rinse) for over 9 days now. one spot has seemed to heal, while another has not made much progress. The skin on my lips in the morning has just about all but quit showing up. Thanks for any help on this topic

If anyone is starting a lawsuit or action against them please email me so I can sue them too. I got a bad toothache yesterday and have been going through problems my whole life. I usually swish with some peroxide or other mouth wash and it helps me feel better and Im fine. This time my mom-in-law picked up this crest non alcohol crap thinking it would be a nice gesture of help to my problem. I started using it. At first it was fine, like normal mouth wash with alot less of a tingle. But after a few uses, There it was. My gums swelled up and bled and burned, my tounge is burned on the top and bottom, I cant taste anything and I cant eat anything now because the burns are so bad it feels like HELL in my mouth! This is a major chemical burn and I didnt expect this to happen at all! I havent eaten in 24 hours because it hurts too bad, I do nothing but cry and cry and cry. If anyone knows a way to make it feel better please Im begging you for the love of god let me know please! may__queen@hotmail.com
I used it to help me clean my mouth and all it did was BURN ME! I feel like Im going to die. This is THE most severe pain Ive ever felt in my life, and believe me Ive been through some serious pain.

I’ve been using Crest Mouthwash daily for over a year now and recently over the last few weeks, I started to noticed a bunch of brown rough stains building up on the inside of my teeth especially near the gum linings. There are also some in-between my front lower teeth that is embarassingly noticeable. I don’t really know if the mouthwash is to blame but it may possibly be considering all of the similiar problems everyone is else having.

This happened to me too! I wish I heard all of this before I bought it. IT SHOULD BE WRITTEN ON THE BOTTLE, I still can’t taste anything sweet and I have discontinued use a week ago, this is seriously the WORST product I have ever bought, and it doesn’t even have warnings on the bottle, HOW IS THIS LEGAL??
I honestly will never buy a any product of crest ever again. SAVE YOUR TEETH DONT BUY Crest Pro-Health or should I say Crest Por Health!!!

I bought Crest Whitening Rinse because I have Pancreatitis and can’t have alcohol — this product says “Alcohol free”. Even the few drops of residue that you can’t help swallowing after use caused a major flare up in my pancreatitis, even though there is no alcohol in it. I didn’t even realize it caused a flare the first couple times — I had blamed those flares on something else. But after not using it for over a month, then pulling it out again a few days ago, with ONE use of this product the pancreatitis flared again, so I finally put 2 and 2 together. If you have any history of pancreatitis, do NOT use this product!!

I used this product for one month and not only do I have black and brown stains on my teeth but I also have severe gum erosion ; I floss and use a Sonicare toothbrush just like Crest recommends; DO NOT use this product. Crest has said they will pay all medical bill on this; I think the potential for a lawsuit is huge if the damage is permanent.

I have severe gum erosion and black and brown spots on my teeth after only a couple weeks of use; going to the dentist to see if the damage is permanent; Crest has already said they would pay all medical expenses; seems like they know their liability exposure is huge on this

I have discolored teeth and brown between them from using Crest Pro Health. I used not only the mouthwash but also Crest Pro Health toothpaste. I always had beautiful white teeth, and I take excellent care of them. When Crest came out with this product I thought it would help maintain my white, bright smile. However now I have a brown, and discolored smile and am so embarrassed I do not smile.I am very depressed over what has happened to me. Someone is sueing Crest. I to would like to be involved in a lawsuit against them. Maybe we can get a class action lawsuit going. Crest needs to compensate for our horror and pay for our dental work we need. Christie

I started to use Crest Pro-Health rinse and immediately noticed that I lost all sense of taste and that
my tongue became numb. After rinsing I also noticed that my tongue turned brown and that a nasty
film acccumulated. I have neve had a reaction to a product like this. My dentist recommened that I use thei product. I have every intention of telling my dentist that under no circumstace will I use this
nor should they offer it as a rinse when I visit.

I have my dental cleaning twice a year. Since I used Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash from late of 2007, my teeth were terribly stained, which both I and my dentist noticed. In October, 2009, I changed my dentist and the new hygienist told me that Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash does stain teeth and asked me to use Listerine. Since I stop using Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash, my teeth are white and are not stained anymore.

I heard news last night about the horrible side effects of Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash. The company spokeswoman said that the stain results from dead bacteria, which indicates that Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash is working. I don’t think so. I always brush my teeth with toothpaste first, then floss, then use Mouthwash, finally, wash my teeth with waterpik (three cup of water) to get rid of the smell.

I recently got my tongue pierced, and was advised to use an alcohol free mouthwash. I went the the store, and bought a bottle of Crest Pro Health rinse.

After using it for one day, I woke up this morning with HORRIBLE chemical burns. My whole mouth felt as if it was on fire, my gums are white and peeling and raw, and even the bottom of my tongue is blistered and burnt, and my face is very swollen.

Literally, I can say that this has been some of the worst pain I’ve ever been through in my life. My mouth is burning constantly.

After using ProHealth mouthwash for a period of about three weeks 3 x a day I starated losing my taste. My gums became inflamed and were burning. I had sloughing tissue in the roof of my mouth. However, the worse part was that I have entirely lost my sense of taste. It has been three months and 4 visits to an ENT specialist. I would like to know if anyone has had a similar loss of taste and, if so, has it come back?

  21. Comment by Latasha on September 20, 2010 1:43 pm

I have only been using this mouthwash for about a week but I am about to abort, abort, ABORT! I like to cook. More so, I love to eat and I cant taste anything!!! I am drinking coffee right now and I cant even taste it. It just feels like some warm thick gunk running over my tongue. I knew something was up the first time I used it twice in the same day and it horribly burnt my tongue. So much for no alcohol burn. The phophoric acid (possible misspelling of the ingredient) seems to do a better job of burning out my taste buds. Fortunately, I a havent gotten the brown stains yet and I am not waiting for that to materialize. Because I am stubborn and wanted to make it work because it is supposed to do so much for my enamel I have even resorted to mixing it with water. Still burns and I still cant taste anything. I am so disappointed. I grew up pretty much a Crest kid. The thing that really bothers me is my mother only recently started getting brown stains on her teeth after years of very nice teeth. I am starting to wonder if she is using this product too. Asking the dentist does no good. They are just trying to collect a paycheck. They tell her it comes with age. If so it would have been progressive not suddenly.

  22. Comment by Latasha on September 20, 2010 1:46 pm

Oh yeah. There is a warning on the label about possibly staining the teeth. I only noticed it last night. Even so, they dont give detail of what type of stain. I assumed a very faint stain nothing to alarmed about seeing as I drink coffee. Now that I am hearing about these brown stains I am totally horrified. I really feel bad for everyone who has gotten screwed twice by Crest when as for me it is just my tastebuds are fried but slowly regaining they functionality.

  23. Comment by Latasha on September 20, 2010 1:52 pm

Okay last message I promise. Here are some natural teeth bleaching remedies that you might want to try if your enamel isnt too weak. Take a lemon, quarter it and bite down on it’s pulp and hold it for about 2 minutes, spit it out, brush your teeth and floss. You should see some results in about a week. Do not drink any dark beverages like coffee without brushing or chewing a whitening gum immediately after ward. Another remedy that I havent tried yet is the eating fresh strawberries. I had a friend who always had very bright teeth and she said that eating strawberries kept her teeth white.

Again I really feel bad for all of you who’s teeth have been stained. Best of luck in removing them with this method.

  24. Comment by Rick Blunschi on October 7, 2010 2:14 pm

I had my teeth cleaned 2 months ago. Right after this I started using crest pro health mouthwash. Within a week I started noticing brown spots on my teeth and especially around the gum line. It got so bad that I got scared and went back to see my dentist this past Wednesday. As soon as he looked at my teeth he was amazed. He said he had never seen any thing like this before. He also said he wished he had his camera with him because he would love to have some pictures of this. He immediately knew it was the Crest mouthwash that caused this problem. He put his best dental hygenist on my teeth to try and remove these stains. After an hour and 40 minutes of her working, she was able to remove most of the stains. I am in the process of sending a complaint to Crest. My dentist has also agreed for me to use his name and address in this complaint. I am going to ask that they remove this product from the market immediately or face the risk of a major class action lawsuit.

I have been using the crest pro-health mouthwash for about four months now and ever since then the lining of my mouth has been falling out, but I didn’t experience any of the burning sensations (except while rinsing with it) that some of you have mentioned. I have known it was the problem for a while but since nothing else had happened I kept using it but after looking it up and seeing all the horrible things that it had done to others I believe it is time to stop use. Anyone else just have the lining of their mouth fall out?

i tried using crest pro health mouth wash for the fist time, shortly after about a week later my taste buds are gone. my gums were very irritated, redish blood clots have turned to darkish spots along the front part of my gum line. i google the product & see that many people are having the same issues… proctor & gamble first aide team was calling to just check on me but was not doing nothing about the issue, i felt that crest should have a network of dentis that they could send a person to for a resolution. i was wrong, they sent me a nice/nasty letter basically advising that the issues will resolve its self (hey they are not in my body & do not know how the chemicals have effected my mouth)in the initial call, they advised 2-6 hours of recovery, at that time it was already 12 in to using it last. i have went to the ER, they advised that i have been chemical burned. the doctors refered me to an ENT (Ear nose & throat) my taste buds are gone… no sense of taste juice taste like water, all fruit taste the same, as if im just eating something crunchy. between salt & sugar i cant tell the difference on my tongue. i used this product in good faith… their slogan is TOUCHING LIVES, IMPROVING LIFE… which is straight bullshit. it makes me be a detractor to the company & makes me want to stop using all the product that they offer

SO glad I found this. I just bought Crest WD Whitening mouthwash yesterday and used it for the first time last night. I immediately felt tingling on my tongue, and saw that my taste buds were turning red. I didn’t think much about it, but this morning I can’t taste ANYTHING. I can’t believe there is this many complaints about this stuff. I figured since it was Crest they would do their homework. I’m pretty freaked out. Definitely not buying ANYTHING from crest anymore.

I JUST STARTED USING CREST PRO-HEALTH TOOTHPASTE MY FIRST TUBE. AFTER BRUSHING WITH IT AND RINSING AFTER BRUSHING FOUND LITTLE PIECES OF WHAT LOOK LIKE GLASS LEFT IN MY MOUTH. DIDN’T PAY ATTENTION UNTIL IT HAPPENED AGAIN WITH THE SAME TUBE. SO I COLLECTED THE LITTLE PIECES OF GLASS? THAT WERE IN THE TOOTHPASTE. I HAVE A LITTLE PILE OF THE PIECES THAT I AM SAVING, ALTHOUGH CALLED CREST AND THEY ARE SENDING AN ENVELOPE SO I CAN SEND THE TUBE BACK SO HEALTH AND SAFETY CAN EXAMINE IT. I ASKED THEM IF I SHOULD CONTACT THE DRUGSTORE WHERE I GOT THE TUBE AND WAS TOLD NO. THEY GAVE ME A CASE NUMBER AND GET THIS A COUPON FOR A FREE TUBE OF CREST PRO-HEALTH. I HAVE NOTICED THAT MY MOUTH IS MORE SENSITIVE AND GUMS ARE NOT LOOKING GOOD. I WOULD ADVIS THAT ANYBODY USING ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS TO STOP UNTIL ALL THESE PROBLEMS ARE RESOLVED AND CREST ADMITS THE PRODUCTS ARE NOT SAFE.

I purchased Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash a long time ago. I thought it would be better because I don’t like the feeling with the alcohol and the burning. Well, I used it one night and woke up the next morning and couldn’t taste anything either! My tongue felt super dry and all I did was taste the mouthwash for the next day or so. Yes, it went away. Probably because I stopped using it.

Well — I still have it in my cabinet, and my gums were hurting really badly today. So I decided to use it. (Like an idiot after I found out that everything that happened before was actually the Crest.) Thank GOD I can still taste things! It’s probably because it’s expired, that it didn’t mess up my taste buds. (HAHA) I also realized that randomly, there is a brown stain on 2 of my front bottom teeth (near the gum line). It looks horrible and I am deeply upset about it.. It makes it look like my teeth are starting to rot! I’m hoping, when I go to the dentist at the end of the week, that they can remove it and it hasn’t caused any serious damage! (It has been a long time, and I am wayyy overdue for a dentist visit — I haven’t had insurance until recently, since I was 18, and now I’m 22.)

I don’t know why Crest is still allowed to make this crap!

Yep, let me add my comment to this terrible collection of horror stories. Last night I bought a bottle of the ironically-named Crest Pro-Health mouthwash from CVS. After two uses, last night and this morning, I can no longer taste my food. How can this poison still be on the market after YEARS of consumer complaints?!?

  35. Comment by BK on March 8, 2011 10:47 pm

I got back from my last dental cleaning. I rescheduled after a couple months because my teeth were so disgustingly stained. A few weeks after using Crest ProHealth mouthwash at the advice of my hygenist and my teeth turned brown, yellow, and even a hint of green (the mouthwash was green). That’s when I scheduled an appointment. The hygenist was horrified, she couldn’t believe it. She could not believe that I had been brushing and flossing, chewing dental gum, and drinking lots of water. My gums had never bled so much in my life during cleaning. She said she could’ve swore that I hadn’t cleaned my teeth for at least 2 years.

I used the Crest Pro-health toothpaste for my gums, I just got the first tube and soon after using it I noticed sore spots in my mouth and that the between the teeth were turning brown. I stopped using the toothpaste and used my other toothpaste just to see if the irritation would stop, and it did, thank goodness. Guess I won’t buy Crest Pro-health any more!!

  37. Comment by Robert on April 4, 2011 1:42 am

I am a dentist. I provide my patients with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and often a sample mouthwash to take home following their cleaning appointments. I was recently approached by a Crest sales representative in an effort to sell to my practice a package deal of brush/paste/mouthwash at a competitive price for the purposes of providing these to my patients as well as recommend the product (crest pro health paste and rinse). Prior to committing to a decision I decided to go home and try it out myself. I had no side effects with the toothpaste. I am not concerned about staining as I know that I do not have plaque or tarter near my gum line to stain. I was very alarmed to find that the Pro-Health Rinse after 2 days of use (3 times a day–one of those times it was in my mouth for 3-4 minutes) caused taste loss for me. I immediately discontinued use of the rinse; however, I had near complete loss of taste for several days. My sense of sweet was diminished and my sense of salt was completely gone. I complained to my wife that her food was too bland so I got up from the table to season it myself. To my surprise, my food was still bland. Fortunately my wife accepted my apologies and I was not in the dog house with her. A loss of taste is quite a depressing ordeal. I had no interest in eating. I will not be recommending the Pro-Health line of products to my patients. I will share with them my personal experience. I will continue to recommend a Sodium Fluoride Toothpaste, a Listerine w/alcohol-type mouthwash, followed by a non-alcohol fluoride rinse such as ACT.

You are all full of it. The stuff works fine for me with none of these side effects listed. Maybe you people are crazy hypochondriacs?

I have red painful spots on my tongue. My husband looked it up on the internet and found lots of people complaining about the same thing after using chest pro health mouth wash. Ive been using it and my son has been using it. Even when it started I continued to use it thinking the mouth wash would make it go away. I wonder now how much damage is done and how long it will take for it to go away. I’m not going to use anymore and I’m tossing the tooth paste as well. It’s scary to know that company’s can put stuff like this out there with no worry’s about the people who use it.

So, now that we have all personally dealt with the side effects, how do we reverse them?

Talk to a Dental Staff member and mentioned slight loss of sensation/taste on tongue. She said to STOP USING IT.

I used Crest Pro Health Mouth Wash on Wednesday May 19th 2011 after eating my lunch. Wednesday evening at bedtime I brushed with Pro Health paste and rinsed with Pro Heath Mouth wash again. I noticed my mouth was very tender and below my bottom lip and I had light small blistering. I woke at midnight with burning and pain inside my mouth and severe blood blisters on the left side of my jaw. The bleeding lasted all night and in the morning I had chills and diarrhea. My whole mouth was raw. Reported to P&G hotline and I will be receiving a coupon for more Crest product! Sorry P&G I had to go to the Doctor for treatment and chemical poising is not my idea of a safe product
