Erector Sets and Toddlers
A mainstay of childhood, the humble erector set is a treasure trove of imagination stimulating projects and freeplaytime that is difficult to equal with any other toy. The countless variations of structures give young minds a healthy shot of productive problem solving practice that will serve them brilliantly as they start their school careers.
The Erector 100 pc Bucket recently arrived at my door (a belated b-day gift for my son from his great uncle) and although the box recommends ages 4-8, my 3 year old is delighted with it, he and my husband have been returning to it throughout the day over the weekend ( it’s difficult to decide who’s enjoying it more). My husband has only one complaint: he wishes there were more pieces to build with. This of course is his problem, not my son’s, who seems absolutely enthralled with the possibilities he sees in the collection of parts.
Father and son are both plotting what they will do when the recently ordered Erector Special Edition 643 Piece Setarrives.
