Book - I Am A Bunny by Ole Rissom
I Am a Bunnyby Ole Rissom, was first published in 1963, and reflects the innocence of that time. I absolutely love the colorful and sweet illustrations of Nicholas (the bunny) enjoying the beauty of his country home as the weather and the seasons turn.
It was my son’s potty book when he was toilet training, and was the first thing he grabbed before asking to be taken. I enjoyed it because it reminds me of my parent’s home in North Wales, and my son was absolutely enthralled by the butterflies, birds, flowers and frogs in the story, making sure to point them out and try to count how many of each was on a page.
It’s a board book, and very sturdy, and has survived many a night in bed with my boy, in his backpack, and carried around the house in his sticky little hands. I’m sure your little one would love it as well, it’s such sweet and gentle tale for a sweet and gentle time in your life.
